Lebanese Weddings

The average income of a Lebanese is $600 per month; however, Lebanese people are willing to live in debt to make sure  they live it up; they wanna be seen in Skybar every weekend, carrying an LV bag, and driving a 2013 car.
Lebanese people do weddings with one intention:impress others.. its all about social status and social image too. Wedding are becoming very extravagant; couples (or their parents) are willing to spend ridiculous amounts for this night. On average a wedding can cost $30,000 and go up to $250,000 if not $500,000. From getting carriages with horses for the bride & groom Zaffe (entrance) or firework shows that last 15 minutes & light up the skies of Beirut or maybe a Lebanese popstar that would sing playback and charge a good $40,000 or even building their own wedding venue platform over a sandy beach. People are willing to do anything to become the talk of the town.
The wedding is choreographed; just like a show where the wedding planner, which fee could range from anything between $2500-$20,000, is leading the orchestra. The bride and grooms’ every walk & smile is planned & rehearsed. The wedding vibe is fake, guest smiles are fake, bride & groom’s smiles are fake and obviously lets not forget the cake is fake too!
